DAY 1 - SUNDAY

13:35 Arrival - George Airport
” Transport tourists to Mes Amis
Mes Amis is located right on the Wilderness Beach with an unsurpassed view of the Indian Ocean. Watch dolphins from your private patio.
” Spend rest of the day at leisure - walk along the beautiful beach and just enjoy the natural beauty and magnificent accommodation.
” Evening dinner transfer available, should it be required.

DAY 2 - MONDAY

08:30 Collect tourists after breakfast at Mes Amis.

10:30 Visit Knysna Elephant Park for guided tour. Get up close and personal to the majestic elephants. Touch, feed and interact with these gentle giants.

13:00 Visit Tsitsikamma National Park. Lunch at the Restaurant. Known as a little piece of Eden - This National Park has the most beautiful coast line, wild and rugged. This visit is a must. Do the boardwalk to the hanging bridge if you feel like a fairly strenuous walk. A boat ride along the river mouth is an optional extra.

15:30 Return via the scenic Bloukrans Pass and Natures Valley. Visit Plettenberg Bay.

18:00 Arrive back at Mes Amis. Evening transfer available should it be required.

DAY 3 - TUESDAY

09:15 Collect tourists at Mes Amis for adventure tour.

09:30 Begin with a guided flatwater canoe trip up the beautiful Touw River. The canoes are two seater canoes with waterproof containers, therefore there is ample space to pack cameras, binoculars and swimming gear.

On the canoe trip you will paddle through lush indigenous forest, where birdlife is abundant. Watch for the scarlet flash of the Knysna Loerie or the iridescent blue of the Malachite Kingfisher. After about 40 minutes of easy paddling you reach the end of the river. From there one leaves the canoes and walks on a forest trail to a waterfall. On the way, your guide will introduce you to some of the plants and animals found in the forest.

After a breather at the waterfall, and perhaps a refreshing swim, return via the way you came. However, on the way back you will stop at Ebb and Flow campsite for a picnic lunch on the banks of the river.

After lunch you will get the opportunity to try abseiling off a 25m high cliff overlooking the river and forest. You can also have a swim or just bask in the sun. Then canoe back to Wilderness at about 16:00.

16:30 Arrive back at Mes Amis. Rest of the afternoon at leisure. Enjoy a walk on the beautiful, unspoilt beach or swim and suntan. An evening dinner transfer is available should it be required.

DAY 4 - WEDNESDAY

08:30 Collect tourists after breakfast at Mes Amis. Proceed to Oudtshoorn in the Klein Karoo via the majestic Outeniqua Pass.

10:00 Visit Cango Wildlife Ranch. Enter the Zimbakwe Temple ruins and tropical forest, home to giant flying foxes. View crocodiles under water in the valley of ancients. Enjoy the leaping lemurs, red river hogs and pigmy hippos. Proceed to the catwalk and get close to jaguar, cheetah, lion and enjoy the interactive White Tiger Presentation. Feed lorikeets in Kuranda Forest and interact with wallabies in the Wallaby Walkabout.

12:00 Visit Cango Ostrich Farm. A Klein Karoo experience. Enjoy a guided tour and even have the experience of riding an ostrich! Visit the fascinating curio shop.

13:30 Visit Wilgewandel. Enjoy a traditional South African Lunch at De Kombuys De Cango. Relax and sip a glass of local wine whilst watching the geese and ducks on the dam during lunch. Perhaps ride a camel if you wish.
15:00 Visit Cango Caves. A guided tour of this magnificent natural phenomenon. Ecologically significant and impressively beautiful, the Cango Caves are the largest show caves in Africa and one of the Seven wonders of Southern Africa. Browse in the interesting curio shop.

16:30 Drive through the beautiful Klein Karoo back to Mes Amis. Arrival time +/- 18:00.
Evening transfer available should it be required.

DAY 5 - THURSDAY

09:15 Collect tourists at Mes Amis for adventure tour.

09:30 Jump on bicycles and cycle up Whites Road to the Map of Africa viewpoint. Along the way you will be treated to magnificent views over the sea and lakes, forest and mountains. Cycle on the old George Knysna Road to Hoekwil and down to island Lake for a picnic lunch.

After lunch canoe down the Serpentine River back to Wilderness, arriving at about 16:00

17:00 Arrival at Mes Amis. Rest of the afternoon at leisure, enjoying the unspoilt splendour of the Wilderness coast line. An evening dinner transfer is available if required.

DAY 6 - FRIDAY

08:30 Collect tourists after breakfast at Mes Amis. Proceed to the Outeniqua Transport Museum. Go back in time whilst viewing the vintage railway coaches, vintage cars and other transport-related items on display.

10:00 Board the famous Outeniqua Choo-Tjoe and enjoy a unique, picturesque and scenic 52 kilometer journey by steam train. Enjoy bridge crossings, farmlands with the Outeniqua Mountains in the background and the amazing vista over Glentana and the Indian Ocean. Travel through a tunnel and out again to a sweeping view all the way across Mossel Bay to the Cape St Blaize Lighthouse.

12:00 Collect tour group in Mossel Bay.

12:15 Visit Bartolomeu Dias Museum. (Discoverer of Mossel Bay).
A fascinating journey through a colourful past. Begin at the historical Post Office Tree and then visit the Shell Museum, Aquarium, the Granary and Maritime Museum - where you can board a replica of the ship (Caravel) which Dias sailed into Mossel Bay in 1488. Experience the Braille Trail as well as the historic Malay Graves.

13:30 Enjoy lunch at Delfino’s overlooking the ocean. Look out for dolphins or whales while enjoying lunch.

15:00 Enjoy a boat trip to Seal Island. Enjoy the abundant birdlife whilst cruising to this famous island inhabited by hundreds of seals.

16:00 Drive through Mossel Bay and view the sights of Mossel Bay.

16:30 Return via the scenic route back to George. Transfer to George Airport for flight to destination.
